La fin du monde (The End of the World)

Experimental electronic edition of the novel La fin du monde. (en: The End of the World) a science fiction novel written by the french astronomer Camille Flammarion. This edition is the result of a reflection on "tabular" reading tools: table of contents, index, summary, etc. Here, you can navigate through the text using a bar that shows the verb tenses used in the text, modeled after the color scheme of thermal cameras: The future (the "end of the world" mentioned in the title: the sun’s explosion), is shown in white, and the past in dark blue; the present, in red, lies between the two.
